You know...

You know you need to get a life when the most exciting thing that has happened so far this week is the unpacking of ...dadaaaaaaa

A filing cabinet!

I think I need therapy.
The object of desire????

Channelling Miss Marple.

The evidence was there for all to see. The culprit had no more excuses.
Holes appearing as if from no where.
Broken Azaleas.
Snapped off branches.
The poor Lavender, crushed.
The accused pleaded innocence. She was hurt that such damage would be attributed to herself, a loving, kind and neighbourly woman who would not hurt a fly.
The 'I am so hurt ' look.
She looked pleadingly at the jury, she had a reputation to uphold.
You believe me don't you?
No, we don't!

Technological Rant.

It was all so simple. Just upgrade to Windows 8. What could possibly go wrong? I'll tell you what went wrong, I no longer have Internet Explorer. Pffft. Gone. The bloody thing won't work. Thank goodness I had another couple of web browsers on my PC before I upgraded. No great loss my darling No.2 son said. Well No.1 son got it for his university studies, ( guess who paid for it?) and he was allowed 2 downloads. Now I was more than happy with Windows 7, but you know what kids are like, they make it sound like you are a dinosaur if you don't "keep up".

Keep up, I know what I would like to do to the genius who designed my train wreck!! Even if I never used it, it still should damn well work. I paid good money. So with steam coming out of my ears after having stayed up till 1am Sunday morning, I rang No.1 son to see if he was having the same problems. Guess what? It is all working PERFECTLY for him!!!  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!@#*

Excuse me while I go and have a very stiff drink.

Happy Happy.

I never thought I would welcome a grey sky. It finally arrived and the temperature has dropped to 20C this afternoon. Whew! The temperature is supposed to rise again, but hopefully not for over 9 days in a row.

Relief
Cool Air, breathe in, breathe out.
I would also like to welcome fostermummy. :)

Dribbling Away

It is 27C at 8pm here on a Sunday evening. It has been about 8 days over 30C. I cannot remember it being this hot in March. I hear that it will be back up to 37C by Wednesday. So if you don't hear from me for the next few days it's because I have just melted away and dribbled out the door.

Hot and dry.

Moe, about 35kms away from home, hot and few  people out and about.

The clouds were teasing, promising rain. Apart from a few spots on the windscreen, nothing much happened.

Backyard Happenings

Well everything is back to normal. Baxter has taken a liking to squishy balls, so today I bought him the perfect Baxter size squishy ball. He grabbed it immediately and raced outside to play and try to dismember this wonderful object of desire.  He tried to 'break' it's neck and then happily rolled all over it to scent it.

Sorcha, on the other hand, was just too busy sunbaking to take much notice at first,( it was 35C today). Finally the continuous growling and slurping made her raise her head for all of 1 min to observe the proceedings. Satisfied the situation required no action, she resumed her sunbaking.

Baxter and his new squishy ball.

It's mine.

It's love.

A girl has to work on her tan.

What is that boy up to now?
I thought I would show you Ladybug 'helping' No.1 son pack last Saturday.

Someone has to make sure he doesn't take the silver!!

Picture This.

So here we were at around 4pm Sunday evening. Both Hubby and I exhausted after moving No.1 son down to his unit in Melbourne. Well to be truthful, Hubby was exhausted from driving for HOURS and moving furniture and boxes up 3 flights of stairs, and I was exhausted from supervising and being confined in a ute for HOURS.  No.1 son blithely stated in the morning that the whole thing wouldn't take all day. ( Sending daggers over the ether to No.1 son). There was also the usual, "I need a small corner desk, would you and Dad mind just stopping by Ikea on the way after we drop off the first load and then we can continue on and pick up the second load?"

So back to 4pm Sunday. Some of the units have balconies that face the road. As it was a hot day, 29C, there were people just sitting on their balconies enjoying the shade and slight breeze. Everything had been unloaded and taken up to his unit.  No.1 son comes down to wave us off. I get out of the ute to give him the mother - of - all squeezie hugs.  He puts out his hands and says not to do anything smoochy as there "are people watching". So I gave him a big squeezie, squishy hug anyway!
