Stages.

Sometimes in life you do things that are completely out of the box. Well, hubby and I decided that we were going to do something different. And we did. We decided to get a tattoo. I decided on a flower, hubby decided on a samurai back piece. He had no idea of the pain involved, nor of how many sessions would be involved. Three sessions later it is still a work in progress. I have the flower, but my idea of a back piece is now on hold. I know that most people see tattoos as normal now, but hey, got to keep the family on their toes. I think they are cringing at the thought of what we might do next. We might let them sweat for a while!!

Still more colour to go.

  2. Wow, that's pretty impressive! Can we see yours? I only have one little tattoo on one shoulder, but have often thought of getting it made bigger... Maybe that will be next year's project! xxx

  4. Personally I've never had any urge to get tattooed, and neither has Jenny. I'm a bit baffled as to why tattooing is suddenly so popular. It seems that every other person under a certain age has been modestly or elaborately inked. I like discreet tattoos, like a small flower on a shoulder or ankle, but larger tattoos seem a bit excessive. For myself, I still think bare flesh is more aesthetically pleasing than flesh that's been "embellished". But each to their own!

  5. Hello, bonsaimum.
Respectable tattoo. It has been tightly drawn.

Genuine samurai photo taken in about 140 years ago.
