What season is it?

Here in West Gippsland it is supposed to be mid winter. The sky should be grey, rain pelting down and darn freezing. So far we have had some days like that, but generally most days we get sunshine. Not that I am complaining mind you. I love love love sunshiny days. The problem is that some plants are having a hard time deciding whether it is winter or spring.

Bursting in all it's glory.
Several of my friends have also remarked on the trees starting to blossom. They are about a month too early. Still, early they may be but their colour is much appreciated.

  1. Glad to hear the weather's so good. Here in Northern Ireland we're also having exceptional weather - a heatwave up to 30C which has lasted for several weeks now. Our previous summers have been horribly wet.

  2. The strange weather the whole world is having is cause for concern in my opinion. It's stinking hot and humid and will be in the mid 40's again today here in Canada. Just crazy.

Hope you don't get a cold snap and freeze off those blossoms like it did here last year.

  3. Yes I agree with Gill. The weather is pretty strange at the moment! We have just experienced a few weeks of very hot, record breaking weather. Personally too hot for me to do anything!

And if nature is confused...that just shows! I love that blossom tree though.

    1. I hate the severe cold and the severe heat. We need a neutral zone!
