Baxter and I have taken to going for a walk each day, slow it might be, but we both feel happier after it. Well he does.
So it is the first week of winter. At the moment we are still getting rather reasonable days. I hope it stays that way for a while.
The bark is coming of the gum trees and everything is starting to get that untidy look of winter.
It has been so wet that yabby holes are appearing everywhere, even in my own backyard.
I noticed this cheeky one in the trees, a sulphur crested cockatoo. Not fussed in the slightest by a weird woman with an annoying dog looking at it.
You looking at moi?
Go away or I really will give you something to look at!!
Goodbye Autumn.
Sorry about your news but glad you are now in positive mode again - well done you !
ReplyDeleteI'm doing the walking thing myself. I'm up to just over 4 miles a day.
take care .........
Welcome back and take care.
ReplyDeleteLove from Mum
xx
Welcome back but so sorry to hear about the troubles. The head sounds like a bully.
ReplyDeleteI worry if husband gets sick as he is sole breadwinner.
I'm having a bit of a meltdown - my mum knew it was coming ! I kept so strong & positive for Jess, plus friend off work for six weeks ( charity shop where I volunteer ) helping her out & more duties at the shop ... I know have a full on summer cold & raging sore throat !
I love your flora & forna. What is a Yabby ? There is a Yabby Creek in Home & away -( I'm a bit of a fan of Auzzie soaps ! )
I will think of you when walking Dillon x
A yabby is like a freshwater crayfish but smaller. When its really wet they make these holes in the ground. We used to catch them as kids to eat.
DeleteI also had to google yabby!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your hubby and his obstreperous boss. Very worrying and upsetting for both of you. I hope his boss doesn't manage to displace him. Is he in a trade union that could give him some support and advice?
Yes he is in the union, but they can't do much at the moment.
DeleteI had to look up the word yabby...never heard of that before. I don't like the sound of the situation for your husband in his teaching work, his boss must feel threatened - why are people so horrid - do hope that things improve for you.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, that's a worry about your husband's work situation. I do wonder sometimes what the hell we would do if my partner lost his job... I fear I am pretty unemployable these days!
ReplyDeleteKeep your chin up, keep walking, and taking great photos, like these; it's good to have you back. xxxx
Thanks, good to be back. :)
